Lockdown getting to you? Go out and listen to the frogs!

I’m back to recording frogs with the FrogID app, wandering down to our small dam to get clearer calls and maybe even sight a froglet or two. No sightings so far but it’s a nice activity on a beautiful day like today. Then poking around Rattle I find the poem Go out and Listen to the Frogs (#71 Spring 2021). Such a touching poem even if you don’t love frogs. It’s by J R Solonche.

 

Oh yes — if you're interested — there have been choruses from the Common Eastern Froglet, Eastern Sign-bearing Froglet and Spotted Marsh Frog with the occasional bop or dunk this afternoon from an Eastern Banjo :)
