SIX SMALL HOSPITAL POEMS

frail   her slight back   a half opened umbrella

Old age mothers
affection on their faces
Middle age sons
caring on their hands

pink child
someone else’s gloves
her scarecrow hands

trendy
urine-yellow ‘handbags’
all the fashion

old tufted owl
old slanted head
like a new loaf that’s hit the floor
braces slicing his twisted torso

her hand under her shirt
scratching at her naval
looks too proper
to do the private
in public

Sculptured black hair

longer side aflap

a sleek bird wing

Shecrow with pram
