MORE POETS NEEDED TO SAVE BIMBLEBOX

Calling on Art•Science•Nature! Bimblebox Nature Refuge is under threat from a massive open cut mine proposal. The Bimblebox Art Project is highlighting the diversity and value of the refuge through a number of collaborations and touring exhibitions.

Bimblebox 153 Birds is one of them. Art prints and poems are being produced for each of the Bimblebox Nature Refuge’s 153 birds. Musicians, academics and scientists are also welcome to participate. The inaugural installation will be shown in Brisbane in May.

Forty-three birds are still waiting for someone to take them under their wing. More information about the art project and the nature refuge here: http://bimbleboxartproject.com/

I have written a poem about the Brown Goshawk. Can’t wait to eventually see the artist’s response.
