The Aesthetica 2013
Creative Works poetry competition (UK) has selected 54 poems, including my poem The Bird Painting I Really Wanted to Paint, to be published in
the next Aesthetica Creative Writing Annual. It's an ekphrastic poem after a painting from a long time ago (that other life). The competition winner will be selected from this list and announced soon. The list of finalists is available here. Other
Australian poets that I can see are Paul Hetherington and Chloe Wilson. Chloe is a poet whose name
seems to arise again and again – including as a fellow Highly Commended in the
Blake - congratulations!
