Mulling & Musing - Poetry at Binalong

Binalong shearers - so fast the camera only catches a blur!
(Or did I have it on the wrong setting...)

What's in a name...

First Mulling & Musing at Binalong a great success with 40 people attending and quite a few performing. Predominantly bush poetry this time, much of it original, a lot of it hilarious, a few dramatic moments. They came from Binalong, Boorowa, Canberra, Harden, Junee, Temora, Yass, Young... Good onnnnn everyone involved including Australian champion bush poet Robyn Sykes and her bush poetry networks, and MC extraordinaire George Elliot. Big thanks from all of us poets to the Top Shop CafĂ© & General Store - Libby and George - and all the locals and visitors who rolled up. Mulling & Musing will definitely be held again. Next date is November 25 at 2 pm and every alternate month after that for as long as it works for everyone. You're all welcome. A name change has been suggested after a couple of invitations were declined from people who 'didn't want anything to do with that mulesing.' I know we live in a sheep farming area but whatever farmers do or don't do to their sheep we don't mix it up too much with our poetry - oh except maybe in a good bush poem.
