Ekphrasis is a Journal of Transformative Verse published in Sacramento by Laverne and Carol Frith. It’s looking for ‘well-crafted poems, the main content of which addresses individual works from any artistic genre’. They read submissions all year, publish two issues (Spring and Fall) and award the Ekphrasis Prize of $500 to one poem a year from those published.
