Seabirds - a poem





Seabirds

Us at the lookout 
A solitary pigeon 
on the nearby 
ledge 
All eyes on the blue rind 
He claps  
Into the air 
a burst pillow
a bagful of  
feathers 
For one moment 
we were all seabirds again
